REC STARTS ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE "EXPORTER OF THE YEAR" CONTEST

The Russian Export Center announces the start of the All-Russian Contest "Exporter of the Year" in 2021 and begins accepting applications.
Participation in the contest is free. Large companies, small and medium-sized businesses, and individual entrepreneurs can apply. Every year the number of participants in the "Exporter of the Year" contest is growing rapidly: if in 2018 about 50 exporters participated in the contest, in 2020 their number exceeds 1700.
Determination of winners of the contest will be held in two stages. The winners of the first stage - at the level of each federal district - will be announced from August to September (the dates of the ceremonies will be announced additionally). Then winners will be chosen from among the companies, which took the first place according to the results of the district stage, at the federal level.
The award ceremony for winners of the federal stage will take place in November at the "Made in Russia" International Export Forum with the participation of top officials of the state.
- REC has conceived the "Exporter of the Year" as a competition beyond industry boundaries. The contest demonstrates that every region of Russia and every industry has talented, strong, goal-oriented exporters who are willing to work hard, can think systematically, and are able to make money in the most challenging markets. The main goal of the contest is to show and encourage those entrepreneurs whose achievements stand out from the rest, those entrepreneurs who are worth to be looked up to. We want to show every exporter that he is not alone in this field, that he is surrounded by colleagues and partners with whom he can consult and cooperate on the most acute issues of export activities.
The all-Russian status of the competition confirms that the Russian Government is willing and ready to work with exporters and that together we can make the right decisions for the export community," said Veronika Nikishina, Director General of the REC.
The Award is given in 12 nominations (both for SMEs and big businesses). Among them are industry nominations:
- "Industry Exporter of the Year."
- "Exporter of the Year in Agribusiness";
- "Services Exporter of the Year."
- "Exporter of the Year in High Technology";
- "Trader of the Year".
In addition, each contender for the award can apply for nominations, awarded for rapid growth in export performance:
- "Breakthrough of the Year" (for SMEs);
- "New Geography" (for large businesses).
Applications will be accepted from April 5 to June 15.
You can apply by filling out an electronic application form on the Russian Export Center's website: https://www.exportcenter.ru/awards. At the initial stage only one document will be requested from the exporters - electronic copy of the Tax Registration Certificate (INN copy).
Companies that have no unfulfilled obligations to pay taxes, fees, insurance premiums, fines and penalties, overdue debts to the budget of the Russian Federation can participate in the competition. Foreign legal entities as well as companies established by legal entities with more than 50% shares in the authorized capital of foreign legal entities registered in offshore zones are not eligible for the award.
The contest is supported by VEB.RF, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia, the Ministry of Economic Development of Russia, the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia and the Ministry of Communications of Russia.
