VLADIMIR BUSINESSMEN LEARNED ABOUT THE PECULIARITIES OF EXPORTING TO KAZAKHSTAN

On April 6, implementing the national projects "International Cooperation and Export" and "Small and Medium Entrepreneurship," the Export Support Center together with the Department of Economic Development of the Vladimir Region held a video conference within the "Hour with the Trade Representative" project in Kazakhstan.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Kazakhstan Svetlana Vladimirovna Zhurkina, Chairman of the Tourism Committee of the Vladimir Region Administration Sergey Alexeyevich Ogudin, Acting Director of Autonomous Nonprofit Organization "Export Promotion Center of the Vladimir Region". Dmitry Alexandrovich Menshov, as well as representatives of businesses in the 33rd region.
- We have been cooperating with Kazakhstan for a long time. Among 115 foreign trade partners, it takes 5th place for foreign trade turnover of the Vladimir region. According to the results of 2020 foreign trade turnover between our region and Kazakhstan was $132.67 million. It grew by 10,6 % (by 12,72 mln. dollars) in comparison with the same indicator of 2019. The share of foreign trade turnover with the Republic of Kazakhstan is 6.42% of the total foreign trade turnover of the region," said Acting Director of ANO "Vladimir Region Export Support Center". Discussing tourism Sergei Ogudin told about the possibilities of the Vladimir region to receive guests from Kazakhstan, about our attractions and that "the region is interested in various communication sites to build partnerships.
Svetlana Zhurkina reported that Kazakhstan is interested in different types of tourism: gastronomic, informative, sports.
- I propose to formulate comprehensive proposals for our possible cooperation, send them to the Trade Representation and we will start the work, - promised Deputy Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Kazakhstan Svetlana Zhurkina.
According to her, the government of Kazakhstan actively supports local producers in all areas of activity. But this does not mean that the way for Russian business here is closed.

Doing business in this country is possible, the main thing is to observe some nuances, which the Trade Representation will inform future exporters about. We are talking about both household installations for water purification and disinfection and the establishment of joint ventures on this subject. As S. Zhurkina said, it is necessary to present not just a proposal, but to show the economic effect of its use.
Eco-products are in demand in Kazakhstan. Companies engaged in the production of such "foodstuff" have good chances in the Kazakh market.
