April 9 is the second day of the St. Petersburg International Motor Show. The key event of the business program today is the seminar "Work in the market of after-sales service".
We would like to remind you that this year's motor show is dedicated to several dates at once: the 100th anniversary of the Special Purpose Vehicle Garage and the 125th anniversary of the first Russian vehicle. The car was assembled at Yakovlev and Frez plant in St. Petersburg. How was it? Two Russian inventors - retired Imperial Navy lieutenant Yakovlev and mining engineer Pyotr Frese - participated in the 1893 World's Fair in Chicago. Both received bronze medals - Yakovlev for the gas engines manufactured at the "First Russian Gas and Kerosene Engines Plant", and Frese for the perfect examples of horse-drawn carriages produced by the "Frese and Co.
At the same exhibition one of the world's first mass-produced automobiles, the German "Benz" model "Velo", was presented for the first time. The car attracted the attention of Russian engineers. Then they decided to create a similar car in Russia.
And already in three years, in 1896 at the XVI All-Russian Industrial and Art Exhibition in Nizhny Novgorod a public demonstration of the first Russian car took place. The exhibition was supervised personally by the Russian Emperor. Nicholas II visited the carriage department and saw the car in action.
It was a two-seat rear-wheel drive phaeton with an awning. It had wooden wheels, a 2 horsepower gasoline engine, and a top speed of up to 20 km/h.
Sales of Yakovlev and Frese in the Russian Empire began one year after the first demonstration in Nizhny Novgorod. How many copies were sold is unknown. According to some reports, the price tag on the Yakovlev-Frese car started at around 1,500 rubles. It was half the price of a Benz car and about 30 times the price of an ordinary horse. More information on the official site of PMAS-2021.
But let's return to the Vladimir manufacturers. Our region is presented at the motor show by a collective stand and four enterprises. We have written about them in detail in the article "The Vladimir enterprises at PMAS-2021". Today the representatives of the companies with pleasure share their impressions.
- Participation in the St. Petersburg International Motor Show is significant not only for the company NPF "Adgeziv", but also for all participants from the Vladimir region. This is the first one and a half years in Europe car show. OOO NPF "Adgeziv" for the first time in such a significant event and has discovered a new niche to promote their products, meet interesting people, found new partners. We held meetings with LLC Promspetsstroy, LLC Plastmarket LLC NIOIL-Group, JSC Variant, JSC Spetstrans and others. We are planning a number of other meetings during the next days. We would like to thank the Export Support Center for the excellent organization of our booth and technical support, - said Commercial Director of Adhesives and Compounds Leonid Petrovskiy.
- PMAS-2021 is the first "post-event" in Europe in the field of automotive engineering. In spite of numerous bans and restrictions the motor show gathered quite a number of participants. For LLC "STC "Avtosphera" at Volzhsky State University" it was the first experience of participation in the similar forums. On the first day of the auto show there was a meeting with the management of State Unitary Enterprise "Passazhiravtotrans" in St. Petersburg. They discussed the possibility of installing coolant filters designed by our company on the city passenger buses of St. Petersburg. We had an interesting meeting with one of the managers of JSC "Avtoselhozmash-Holding", during which we discussed the prospects of our company's support in production and exhibition activities.
And the editor-in-chief of Autocomponents magazine was interested in the innovative filter created and plans to publish an article about it in the magazine. In general the Autosalon was very useful for us - we had a lively communication with the consumers of our products, with our colleagues and specialists in the field of automotive engineering, - commented the director of LLC "STC "Avtosphera" at Volzhsky State University" Sergey Dragomirov. Sergei Dragomirov, the director of LLC "STC" Avtosphere", commented.
There are two more days of work ahead of us. We are sure that they will bring a lot of impressions and, most importantly, benefits to the Vladimir participants.
